“You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. No-one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lamp stand and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so they might see your good works and give glory to your Father in Heaven.”
Matthew 5: 13-16

(Spiritual Growth & Relationship with God)

‘We long to find ourselves growing into holiness. We want to move away from simple routine to experience a life-transforming spirituality. We want to rid ourselves of apathy and tedium and move into the fullness of living in the Spirit. We want to be challenged to grow but to know that God’s grace is sufficient for us. We want to experience the promise of Jesus that when we are gathered together, the Spirit of Jesus might be made manifest amongst us in what we feel, the way we speak and how we relate to each other.’

(A Loving, Nurturing, Inclusive Family)

We long to be a community where space is created for everyone. We don’t want people to feel like outsiders. We desire that anyone who meets us in the church environment might find access to our family both easy and fulfilling. We want all people, whether first time visitors or long-standing members, to be greeted with a smile and to know that they are genuinely welcomed and cared for.’

(Justice and Mercy / Care and Compassion)

We feel strongly that we are called make an impact in our community. We are not content to preach, teach, follow or establish a spirituality that is self-centered and devoid of care and compassion and not weighted heavily on the side of those who are oppressed and marginalized by society. We know that God’s kingdom is being established on earth and we are called to help build that kingdom in tangible ways. We know too that our spiritual growth lies in our ability to care for others in need.’
